Is Clackamas Workforce Future-Ready?

Are you experiencing challenges finding employees? Are you worried about how our community is keeping pace with next generation of talent?

Clackamas Workforce Partnership, Clackamas Community College, and your school districts found out how you can engage to prepare our community for the future of work. Training and ongoing education are essential to the youth, adults, and businesses within our community. The presentation focused on workforce trends, skill gaps, and how we – public and private – will prepare the next generation for today’s jobs and tomorrow’s economy.

Clackamas Workforce Partnership’s Executive Director, Bridget Dazey made a presentation on the State of the Workforce here in Clackamas County. Following the brief presentation, Bridget moderated a panel discussion on Clackamas Connect2Careers – a new initiative in Clackamas County bridging our youth network and workforce development. The panel featured a conversation with Peter Lund, Chief Operating Officer with SuperGenius Studios; Tim Cook, President of Clackamas Community College; Larry Didway, Superintendent of Oregon City Schools; and Marcus Gores, Vice President of Operations for Gores Construction.
