Luncheon at the Abernethy Center – See Details below

We are excited to have Tony Konkol, City Manager for Oregon City, and James Graham, City Economic Development Manager for Oregon City, share their vision and strategies on OC’s Economic Development plans for 2023. Oregon City has several large-scale projects in the pipeline for breaking ground in the near foreseeable future, and we are on the cusp of tremendous business growth with very diverse employment opportunities. Come hear the latest updates on these and several other accomplishments that occurred in the City last year and that are planned for 2023 and beyond.

Tony Konkol, City Manager, Oregon City
Tony Konkol became the City Manager in 2016 and brings nearly 17 years of governmental experience to the position. Prior to his promotion, he was the City’s Community Development Director, working for 14 years in the planning department. Tony holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Tony and his wife, Carrie, have two children. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and golfing.

James Graham, Economic Development Manager, Oregon City
With over 25 years of experience in economic development, James Graham has worked for the federal government, several state governments, county governments, a myriad of local municipalities, regional agencies, and various private non-profit organizations. His work with several communities across the country involved crafting and implementing development strategies that are appropriate for the communities where he has worked. Throughout his career, he has sought to craft win-win situations for business investors, would-be employees, and communities at large. He believes in systemic, sustainable, and tailored economic growth while seeking to collaborate with public and private organizations to proliferate the benefits of appropriate development. Mr. Graham is a certified economic developer (CEcD) recognized by the International Economic Development Council, the premiere, international association of economic development practitioners. He also holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs with a Specialization Certificate in International Political Economy from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Johnson C.
